Precious From the Vile

"... If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: ... " Jeremiah 15:19)

It is no small thing to be the mouth of God. "If thou canst distinguish the vile from the precious, thou wilt be like my mouth and I will make thee a brazen wall." Man is vile. But after his sins are forgiven how can he be vile? We have all healthy bodies but a small insect can inject a little poison into us which spreading over the whole body can prostrate us and bring us near to death. A few bacilli are injected - they multiply. If the danger is discovered and remedied then the harm is avoided. Where there are mosquitoes we need a mosquito net. We have to have a net for our spiritual body. We need a net to prevent the spiritual mosquito from injecting its thought into us. It may be a small thought but it will make you very vile and prostrate your spiritual body and make you unfit for the King's service. If we distinguish the precious from the vile we will be the mouth of God.
