“The Backslider in Heart”                            Late Mr. N. Daniel

Proverbs 14:14

“A backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.”

The moment we backslide, the devil will put into us his own thoughts. The devil waits for the time of backsliding to mislead us with his thoughts. There was a man who came forward to work with me in this ministry. He was a backslider. But I did not know it. He used to come out with so many suggestions about how to build the work. I used to pray about his suggestions. But God would not approve of them. So I used to drop them. After some time he said he could see that his stay with me was a drawback to the ministry and went away. He ruined himself later. It is dangerous to be with backsliders. Normally they will see many faults in true children of God. "A good man will be satisfied from himself." You will be satisfied when you are right with God. You will feel happy and at home with the Word of God. You will be happy with the children of God. That is a heart set right according to the Word of God. You will feel supremely satisfied and content. That is heaven. God, out of love, made you for heaven. When you go to Him, you are satisfied. In all people, even in the worst, there is a longing for God, because we are made that way.

We were made for God.

“Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding." If you seek God's righteousness you will be the bead and not the tail. Nations that will not serve God will perish. God always thinks a long way ahead. He will give you a spirit of good-will for others. Heaven is that state when your conscience never pricks you. That is because you are right with God. A worldly man thinks of just the morrow, thinks how to please people. He is shortsighted. Will people praise me tomorrow? But God wants to make you an eternal excellency. A good man will be satisfied from himself. This is the work of God. When your nature becomes a divine nature what more do you want? Isaiah 61:4,6. "And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations." Ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the gentiles and in their glory ye shall boast yourselves." Do you know that God is preparing you for something that will last for many generations? When you die, will anyone think of you as one who has turned the course of his life or the course of his family's life from destruction to life?

First attain that state in which you are completely satisfied with your Lord. You in Him and

He in you. Then He will guide you!!!
