PREFACE
“Let your light so shine before men, that they
may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Mat. 5:16
We give
much thanks to the Lord who has carried us forward all through these 90 years. Great is His faithfulness!
It is the
mercy of God that we see the fresh outpourings of God’s cleansing power transforming lives
and reaching new areas of this world.
It is amazing
to see how God is building His kingdom even in some of the hardest places today
as the work advances forward in several parts of the world.
After
experiencing so much revival blessing in the ministry, we dare not be satisfied
in shallow waters as Jesus says “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets out for a draught.”
Having been the
recipients of so much of light from God’s word, may our light shine brightly so
that the testimony of the Lord be established.
A constantly-growing work requires increasing
faith which is our greatest need today. Jesus said, “According to your faith, be it unto you!” (Matt. 9:29) May we grow in faith and see great things from the hand of the Lord in
this new year of ministry!
Advances in the Ministry
GuyExpo, Georgetown, Guyana, South America
GuyExpo is an
annual national exhibition in Guyana organized by the National Exhibition
Centre. By God’s grace, ‘Beautiful Books’ was given a central spot on the exhibition floor as many visitors
stopped and availed themselves to many Bibles and good Christian literature. A few hundred copies of ‘Christ is Victor’ magazine and a few thousands of
Gideon’s New Testaments were distributed.
It was a
pleasure to receive the President, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of
Legal Affairs and the Minister of Housing at our booth, who were
given the biography of Bro. N. Daniel to point them and the nation to look to the Lord Jesus. Many ordinary people were thrilled
at the product offering of good Christian books and Bibles.
We were also
able to include in our collection Spanish Bibles, along with the testimonies of
Dr. M.D. Paul, Dr. Rajendran and Judge Devadoss, which were
recently translated into Spanish. Some Spanish speaking doctors from Cuba and construction workers from
Venezuela visited our booth and were given the testimony booklets, and some of
them also purchased Christian literature in Spanish.
Book Table in Laverton Market, Melbourne, Australia
Our dear Lord
enabled a few of our brothers to set up a Book Table at the Laverton
Market with books, calendars and bibles under a gazebo tent.
Throughout the
day, around 100 people visited the stall. Our brothers had conversations with some
Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists sharing their testimonies and encouraging them to
take some books and Bibles. A group of Indonesian students visited the stall and purchased some
books, including “Another Daniel”. It was very encouraging to see a lady, Wendy, who visited our stall at
the market, at our Sunday service in Melbourne.
Retreat in Hong Kong
The Lord most
miraculously brought around 130 people to hear God’s word with great hunger and thirst. The Lord provided a quiet campus to
draw nigh to him. A young brother from China testified as to how the Lord touched
him and transformed his life and delivered him from the deep pit which he had
dug for himself. We praise God that our brother is helping with the work of God in spite
of his father a CCP member who told him not to follow the Lord.
The people
drank in God’s word with great hunger and thirst. The earnestness of the people was
very striking as they came from both the secret church and from the government
church. Many could see the hand of God in all details and stated that this
is only a miracle to have a retreat like this. Let us pray that God’s word will reach many needy people who
have not had the light of God’s word in their lives and live in atheistic darkness.
In Myanmar (Burma)
We praise God
for the encouraging reports of what the Lord is doing in the growing work of
the Lord in Mandalay, Myanmar (Burma). We thank God for His protection for our brothers and sisters in
the recent earthquake which rocked Mandalay and for causing His work to move
forward in spite of the political turmoil and civil war in the country. The Lord has touched many of the
young people who are taught God’s word and are also given English, music and computer
lessons. Our prayer is that God will raise an army to take His word throughout
Burma to transform the nation with the good news of Jesus Christ.
The Lord
helped our team to visit seven of the several relief centres, sharing with them
the Gospel and also gave them some essential items to meet their basic needs. Even though many of these dear
people were full of fear and a sense of uncertainty, now some of them are
beginning to attend our Sunday services in search of true peace in their lives.
At the Good
Friday service on April 18, our prayer hall was packed with young people who
listened to the Word with great earnestness. We need to pray much for brother Munthang and his family as they are labouring for the Lord
in this needy place.
Mauritius Islands
Mauritius is
an island country in the Indian Ocean, about 2,000 km off the
southeastern coast of East Africa, east of Madagascar. Being a tourist centre, it is said that about one million international
tourists visit this island every year. Most of the local people are Hindus, having
migrated from India, and so there are so many temples everywhere. There are many people from various
backgrounds and religions who live on this island.
One of our
Fellowship doctors, Dr. Chandrasekhar, joined a medical college as a professor in 2022 with a
burden to reach the people with the gospel. He began to share his testimony in some of the
local churches and also distributed the booklets of the Fellowship to people
also in the hospital where he is working. Due to his Gospel work, the college fired him
but soon they called him back. Now he began to conduct meetings in his home for the students from
various nations. The challenging book of Bro. N. Daniel’s biography is stirring souls, as he shares the
book with needy people. We are looking to the Lord for a common place where people can gather
and hear God’s word. We need to pray much for the people
on this island that the Lord may touch many souls and that a testimony for the
Lord will be established here. Let us also pray for the students who are seeking the Lord.
Good News for All Radio Network
In following
the instruction of the Lord “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel,”
“Good News for All
Radio Network” commenced reaching the world with God’s word 24 hours/ 7 days a week. People from 62 nations are listening to God’s word and reports of great blessing are
coming in from all over the world. One can install the “GNFA Radio Network” App in one’s mobile phone and listen to many challenging
gospel messages, beautiful songs, Scripture readings and biographies of those
who walked with God and accomplished great things for God. Please do introduce this App
to your friends and neighbours.
Jeypore, Odisha
One mother
prayed that her sons would have the word of God as they grew up. The Lord transferred one of
our brothers to Jeypore and the meetings started on the terrace of her
house. As the Hindu house owner asked her to vacate, just at this time
the Lord has helped us to put up a prayer hall in spite of much opposition. The people who destroyed the
compound walls were made to rebuild the walls as we moved forward and completed
the prayer hall which was opened with the song “ In the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, we
will have the victory, who can tell what God can do, who can tell of His love
for you, In the name of Jesus, Jesus we will have the victory”.
The Lord
enabled us to have revival meetings and the hall was full as people sat and
listened to the messages with earnest hearts. Many of the trouble makers came and sat
and heard the word of God and stated that all people should hear the word of
God and experience the peace which comes in God’s presence.
The Lord in
His mercy has helped us to open a new bookstall on the campus in January. Many Bibles and precious books went
out as this is the first Christian bookstall in this region. It is so stirring to see the hunger
of people for God’s word. Let us pray that the light of God’s word will lighten up these regions
steeped in heathen darkness through the centuries.
Guwahati, Assam
The work of
the Lord in Guwahati has been growing steadily as the Lord has touched and
transformed the lives of many individuals and families, most of them from
heathen backgrounds. After conducting our Sunday services and meetings in rented halls all
these 31 years, the Lord has given us a prayer hall, which was completed after
many delays and hindrances. More than 250 gathered to worship God in this new hall. Let us pray for the ministry in
Guwahati that many more lives will be touched and transformed by God and that a
deep work may be built for the Lord.
Ministry among Burmese Refugees in Aizawl, Mizoram
The Lord is
helping our Aizawl team in the ministry among the Burmese refugees and the
displaced Manipuri Kuki people. They have set up two relief camps with temporary sheds and are taking
care of them. The little children are attending a nearby school and some of our
brothers and sisters take tuitions for them. They also share the Gospel with them and teach
them to pray.
Many prisoners
are hearing the Gospel in the nine prisons of Mizoram, as our team visits each
prison once a month. Our team is also trying to reach and give the Gospel to the
displaced people from Bangladesh. We must pray much for our team as they try to reach out and help the
needy people in different ways with prayer.
The
Lord enabled us to have a special camp for these Burmese refugee
children and young people under a big tree in February. Around 300 turned up. The Gospel was given to them and
many were listening earnestly to the word of God. Kindly pray that the
Lord will touch them deeply and raise them up as true witnesses. Let us pray as our brothers and
sisters continue to labour among these needy people.
Worldwide Labours
Summer Retreat, US
Many young
people came from various places from around the country and heard God’s word. It is always refreshing to set apart the
time to wait on the Lord and to have quiet in His presence. Several missionaries linked to
the Wycliffe Translators used of God to translate the scriptures into various
languages around the world were present. The Lord used Brothers John and David Campbell
to give God’s word along with several of our brothers who gave
their testimonies of how the Lord touched them.
Let us pray
that God will keep us from the time-consuming distractions of the world and help us to see many souls
reached with God’s word at this time of great need and confusion in
the nation.
Thanksgiving Retreat, US
The Lord
helped us at the Thanksgiving Retreat in the US. Many people came from various parts of
the country to hear God’s word. The Lord kept the winter weather under control and granted us a
quiet time in His presence, as we remembered the mercies of God focusing on
contentment and gratitude as the one leper who gave thanks, resulting in him
living to point others to God and to glorify God. Many are suffering not being able to
afford food and struggling for a roof over one’s head. Let us pray for the nation that people
will turn back to God in their need and extremities.
Easter Retreat, US
The Lord
granted many people to come to the Easter Retreat with some driving for over 12
hours. The hall was full and people heard the word with rapt attention. There were some also from Japan and
Brazil who were invited and they heard God’s word. We praise God that His word is reaching
more and more people and we pray that the light of God’s word will spread and transform hearts
and lives and give people a new meaning to live with a purpose for the Lord
with eternal values. We pray that God’s word is what drives the narrative of one’s life as the tomb was flung open when God’s plan overrode all the gimmicks of
men. May the Risen Saviour be manifested in our lives.
Retreat in Melbourne, Australia
The Lord
helped our team at the retreat in Melbourne in October as several people from
various parts of the country came to hear His word. One of our Australian brothers prayed
that 50% of the nation suffers from mental health issues. This reflects the nation’s departure from obedience to the
word of God. Let us pray that people will learn to put God’s kingdom first and follow Him faithfully
rather than run after the empty things of the world which will never satisfy.
Meetings in Guyana, South America
Bamboo Landing
is a clearing in the Amazon forest where a lumber mill is in operation. Many workers came and heard God’s word intently along with some people
from the neighbouring villages who came via boat from up and down the river to
our meeting at Bamboo Landing. Every Sunday, God’s word goes out to this lumber crew. Let us pray that the word of
God will go along with the workers into all the towns and villages of Guyana.
The meetings
in Georgetown commenced at our centre were blessed of God. The Lord brought many souls
including the secretary to the President, who is a neighbour, along with her
mother. The Lord blessed His word which addressed the condition and need of
Guyana. We heard wonderful testimonies of how the Lord has touched and
transformed people from a wayward life of no purpose to one where God’s word is the fulcrum of one’s life.
A
meeting was arranged at the University of Guyana campus by our sister Klaus who
is the head of a department in the engineering department. A class room full of students
and teachers heard the word of God along with the IT department of the
university. In addition, the Lord gave us the central hall where many students
from the Teachers Training school heard God’s word. Let us pray that many will be released
from the powers of death and destruction into God’s marvellous plan for their lives and that they
will rise up to serve the Lord.
Youth and Children’s Camps
International Students’ Camp
The Students’ Camp at Beulah Gardens was owned and
blessed of the Lord. Around 10,000 young people poured into Beulah Gardens with great hunger
to hear God’s Word. Though the large hall in Beulah Gardens was packed to capacity, the
young people sitting on the floor and in the galleries, paid close attention to
God’s word. We had many young people from North and Northeast India, and some
of them travelled four days to reach Beulah Gardens. We also had students from the African countries
like Kenya, Zambia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), Ghana, Cameroon, Angola,
Mozambique, Congo-Brazzaville, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
The Word of
God went out powerfully searching the hearts of all those who were in
attendance. During the prayer sessions the young people cried to God with tears
of repentance. The messages from Bro. John, Bro. Joe and Sister Lily Daniel spoke to the need of the heart. The Lord blessed the Bible classes
in the afternoon sessions addressing the parable of the four conditions of the
heart. The testimonies of our brothers with the marvellous accounts of the
complete change and transformation that God brought in their lives, were very
challenging. Apart from the Tamil and Telugu translations, we had also
simultaneous translations in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada and Odiya in different
places, as we had students from all over India. We were glad to see the young people
participating actively in the discussion groups.
It is the
mercy of God that through the years, God’s word can be sown in the hearts and lives
of many young people. Let us continue to pray for these precious young students to rise up as
mighty witnesses for the Lord and take the Gospel to their homes, schools and
university campuses.
Imphal, Manipur
In spite of
the violence and volatile situation prevailing still in Manipur, our brothers
from Imphal centre were instructed to exercise faith and go ahead and conduct
the youth camp. After the fourteen months of crisis, this is the first time, people
gathered for a camp of four days in this state.
On the 2nd day
of the camp, there was a call for a rally by a group and all shops were closed. But, as we prayed, the Lord
protected us all and we had about 300 young people listening to the Word of God
with much hunger and thirst. The Lord granted His presence and blessed the meetings graciously. Many were crying to God with tears
of repentance during the prayer sessions. Let us pray for a harvest of souls out of these
labours. Our centres must be a place of refuge for prayer from the storms
outside.
Aizawl, Mizoram
The Lord
blessed the youth camp in Aizawl with His presence and His word. There were many Burmese young people
and students from Mizoram university, NIT and other colleges and the hall was
full to capacity. The prayer sessions were owned of the Lord as the young people prayed
earnestly for God’s touch. We must pray for God’s Spirit to do a deep work in the hearts of these young people and make
them mighty witnesses for the Lord.
The children’s camp at Sihhmui
Burmese refugee camp was greatly blessed of the Lord. About 130 children gathered and heard the Word
of God. Our Fellowship teachers took the responsibility of teaching these
children the precious word of God through stories, skits and other means.
Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh
The Lord made
it possible for our team to arrange revival meetings for three days at our
Centre at Nirjuli, which is about fifteen kilometres from the capital city of
Itanagar. These meetings were arranged with the focus on reaching the students of
the university, where one of our sisters is teaching.
Hungry and
earnest students filled the rented hall and heard God’s word with rapt attention. They represented all the eight
states of Northeast India. The dear Lord granted His presence and His word and blessed the meetings. We must pray that the Lord will
touch each one and make them a witness and great blessing
to all the eight states of Northeast India.
Silchar, Assam
God in His
mercy blessed the three-day retreat at Silchar, which is the second largest city of Assam. More than 60 people, mostly from the
NIT University attended the retreat. The good Lord used our brothers mightily. Many cried out for God’s mercy and also came forward for
counselling. Please pray for these precious students that the seed of God’s word sown in their hearts may produce
abiding fruit and make them mighty witnesses for the Lord.
Youth Camp, Stuartpuram, AP
The Lord
blessed the youth camp at Stuartpuram greatly. Around 7000 young people from all over Andhra
Pradesh and Telangana poured into our campus with great hunger and thirst to
hear God’s word. Much prayer went up for the camp and the Lord graciously stopped
the rain from disturbing the camp. Above all, the Lord used His servants mightily
and gave the right Word according to the need and many were touched.
During the
prayer sessions, a mighty spirit of prayer came upon the young people and they
cried to God earnestly with tears. Some of them were found praying late into the night alone and in
groups. Many brothers and sisters came over from various parts of Andhra Pradesh
and Telangana to help at the Camp which was a great blessing to many.
Children’s Retreats
The Lord has
been helping us to conduct children’s camps from time to time in many of our centres all over India to inculcate
the fear of God in our growing children early in their lives. Hundreds of children came under the
Word of God in our centres at these camps. The Ten Commandments and other vital topics on
victorious Christian living, with the focus on the children, were taught with
the help of skits and songs. Skits based on Bible stories and missionary lives always touch children
deeply.
During the
prayer sessions, many of the children were earnestly seeking and praying aloud
at these camps. The young and old people were also touched of God and some of them began
to humble themselves to seek God earnestly. We need to pray that they all turn to God and
live godly lives and glorify the Saviour.
Advances within India
Anantnag, Kashmir
Due to the
uncertain conditions prevailing in Kashmir, much prayer went up for the
meetings and the Lord took care of everything and the meetings went on without
any form of hindrance or disturbance. Many could travel long distances and reach our place without any problem
and we had about 300 people in attendance.
The Lord used
Bro. John to preach God’s word. Demon-possessed young people fell down as they entered the hall and the Lord
delivered them after prayer. The Word went out with power and the prayer sessions were blessed
of God. God used some of our brothers who took the Bible classes. We had a special meeting for the
nursing students of our Nursing School, all of whom come from
Muslim backgrounds. We praise God for all those who overcome in spite of great threats
to their lives after turning to the Lord.
Churachandpur, Manipur
It is
the mercy of God that we had revival meetings in Churachandpur, where
the situation has become very volatile again, after the initial outbreak of
violence and arson. As the meetings progressed the hall got filled to capacity, with many
standing outside the hall. Many new people came with great hunger to hear God’s word amidst many dangers and
difficulties. God used our brothers mightily and blessed the testimonies to speak to
many hearts. The prayer sessions were owned of God as people poured out their hearts
before God. It is the grace of God that the ministry in
Manipur has been going on unhindered in the midst of curfews and strikes. Let us pray that the ministry
in Churachandpur and all the surrounding region experiences the
overcoming power of the Cross.
Darjeeling, West Bengal
The Lord is
sustaining the team in Darjeeling as they visit needy and poor families
regularly and share the Gospel with them and the Lord has delivered some of
them from drunkenness and various other problems.
The revival
meetings in August were a great blessing to the people here. The Lord granted His Word and His
presence as a hungry crowd of around 110 gathered to hear God’s Word. It was a joy to see several local people from
Darjeeling and nearby villages at the meetings—many of them were from non-Christian backgrounds. During the prayer sessions, people
were weeping and praying to God. Let us pray much that the Lord may raise up many witnesses and that God’s name is glorified.
Gujarat
We praise God
for the ministry in Gujarat as God’s word is proclaimed in some of the key cities of the state every
Sunday. The work of the Lord is steadily taking root in Gujarat and spreading. Recently the Lord in His mercy
granted special meetings in Ahmedabad, Jamnagar and Baroda. Hundreds of people came under God’s Word in these places and the Lord
used our brothers mightily. There were many students and young people and also strangers including
some from non-Christian backgrounds at the meetings. The Lord gave us His presence and blessed the
prayer sessions, as people poured out their hearts and prayed. The ministry in Daman is going
forward in spite of all the opposition which has died down as new souls come to
hear God’s word.
We need to
pray much for the state of Gujarat that the word of God should
sound out in every city accompanied with clear obedience to God’s word.
Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh
In spite of
the hostile atmosphere prevailing in Uttar Pradesh against anything Christian,
the dear Lord has been strengthening our team and helping them to move forward,
praying and overcoming all obstacles.
The meetings
in Gorakhpur, 100 km from Bansi, were greatly blessed of the Lord, as around
250 gathered with great hunger to hear God’s Word. Many of our brothers from nearby centres in
North India came over to help and serve these needy and hungry people. The prayer sessions were owned of
the Lord. Many were convicted and cried for mercy, confessing their sins. Please pray that many
may repent and turn to the Lord and become true witnesses for the Living
God.
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
The Lord in
His mercy gave us Easter meetings from 18th to 20th April, at our centre in
Lucknow. People came from the city and various villages to hear God’s word. During the prayer sessions, the spirit of
repentance came upon the people. They opened up their hearts and were counselled by His servants. We are very inadequate before the
great need in this state. However, we look to the Lord that the light of His word shines above the
darkness to enlighten and transform souls. Much agonizing prayer is required to see the
darkness dispelled and a deep work for the Lord be established in this city and
state.
Kolkata, West Bengal
The three-day retreat in Kolkata brought together
around 230 participants from
different locations like the Sundarbans, Durgapur, Ranchi,
and other towns. Around 100 stayed in the campus. Some hostel students from a few
schools were also present and the interactive group
discussions were blessed of the Lord.
The Lord
granted His presence and the Word went out with power. During the prayer sessions, people
poured out their hearts before the Lord. Let us continue to pray for the ministry in
West Bengal to become deep and grow and spread to new areas.
Jaigaon, West Bengal
Our ministry
in Jaigaon, a small town at the Indo-Bhutan border, is slowly taking root
and many needy people are hearing God’s word in our centre here.
The Lord
granted revival meetings in February and blessed it very much. We had around 60 young people in our
midst. Apart from the local people, some came from Gangtok,
Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri
and Bhutan also. The Lord graciously fed the people with His spiritual manna and many
were touched by the Word. We must pray that many faithful witnesses will rise up to glorify the
Lord.
Gurdaspur, Punjab
It is nothing
less than a great miracle that the Lord sent a heavy rain in answer to prayer
to cool down the temperature which touched 45 degrees before the meetings.
Around 650
people attended these meetings, among whom about 20 percent were strong Hindus
and 10 percent Sikhs. God used our brothers mightily and the prayer sessions were full of
repentant cries to God for His mercy. God gave the courage to our local people to publicly confess their
faith in Jesus by taking baptism, as 11 were baptized and 3 of them are from
Sikh background. Let us pray that the message of God’s love will reach all the people of Punjab.
Chandigarh, Punjab
At the
meetings in Chandigarh, we had about 300 in attendance as many local people
and others from many of our centres in North India joined. About 120 people stayed in the
campus under temporary sheds.
The Lord
used several of our brothers mightily. The meetings were a blessing to our own
young children growing up in the Fellowship. During the prayer session, people poured
out their hearts. Let us pray that all those who heard the Word may rise up to be mighty
witnesses for the Living God.
Pune, Maharashtra
With great
expectation, our brothers and sisters prayed and prepared the place for the
meetings. The morning meetings took place in our centre and the evening meetings
were held in the YMCA hall in the city, so that many newcomers and strangers
could attend. The hall overflowed with so many standing outside listening to the Word. In another large room of the same
building, a group of people were listening to the message with Hindi
interpretation. People came from many parts of Maharashtra like Mumbai, Nagpur,
Ahmednagar, Makthapur, Aurangabad and other places.
The Word went
forth with great power and unction, as the Lord used our brothers mightily. The Spirit of God began to work in
many hearts. It was a time of searching of hearts. Let us pray for a rich harvest of souls in Pune
that the work may become deep and strong and spread far and wide. We pray that the state of
Maharashtra will be lifted by God’s Word.
Makthapur, Maharashtra
Makthapur, a
little town, 180 km from Pune, is one of our old centres where the Fellowship
ministry took place for many years under one of our earlier converts, Dr. Diwakar Pardhe, who faithfully
laboured for the Lord.
Our team from
Pune has been prayerfully reaching out and the work of God has been moving
forward. The Lord graciously granted revival meetings for Makthapur in February
and blessed it greatly. Around 400 people gathered to hear God’s word with great hunger and thirst. Indeed, the Lord stood with us, as
the Word went out with power. The spirit of prayer swept over the needy people during the prayer
session and they cried out to God for His touch.
Bhilai, Chhattisgarh
Bhilai is
Chhattisgarh’s second-largest city, and its multiculturalism and diversity has earned it the
nickname “Mini India.” A small ministry has been going on here and a few people gather for the
Sunday afternoon service and for the prayer meetings. Our brothers from Raipur labour among these
people.
As it is hard
to get permission to conduct meetings, the meetings took place in three
different houses of our people each day. About 40 people gathered and listened to the
Word with earnest hearts. There was a good spirit of prayer evident as they cried to God during
prayer sessions. We had some students also in our midst. Much prayer is required to see a real
breakthrough in this place.
Ranchi, Jharkhand
Ranchi is the
capital of the state of Jharkhand and it has a large Christian population with
many churches. Yet, this town is rampant with occult practices and witchcraft, as
people are getting more and more steeped in idolatry.
With a burden
to reach souls, revival meetings were arranged in March and the Lord blessed
the meetings graciously. About 60 people gathered in God’s presence. A few joined us from our other centres in
Jharkhand like Jamshedpur, Chakradharpur and Hazaribagh. The Lord used our brothers mightily and many were touched. The prayer sessions were blessed of
God as the Word searched the hearts. Let us pray that many will be transformed by
God’s word and will take the message to their families
and friends.
Patna, Bihar
We praise God
for the meetings held in Patna, the capital of Bihar, in a rented hall in the
heart of the city. We had around 110 people who came from various parts of Bihar, Jharkhand
and Uttar Pradesh. God brought our brothers from other centres and used them mightily. From the first meeting onward, the
dear Lord granted His presence and Word. Demon-possessed people were delivered by the Lord
after prayer. The prayer sessions were owned of the Lord as many were crying to God
with tears. Please pray for a rich harvest of souls in this town.
in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana
Stuartpuram, Andhra Pradesh
Stuartpuram, a
small village of a population of 9000, has been transformed by God. Two months of prayer went up in
preparation for the meetings. God granted Mr. N. Daniel and Bro. Joe to see great revival in this small village as many were completely
broken by the outpouring of the Spirit of God and their lives were transformed
by the Saviour. People who were once bootleggers, drug-addicts and drunkards became totally new people. Ever since, the work of the Lord has
been going forward and growing in this place. Hungry crowds from all over Andhra Pradesh and
Telangana filled the premises at these meetings in January.
Right from the
first day, people poured into our large compound and made it look very small
and inadequate as well and over 100,000 people gathered to hear God’s word. God anointed several of our brothers and used
them mightily and the word went out with great power. The people drank in the Word and poured out
their hearts with tears during the prayer sessions. Many were found praying and seeking God late
into the night. The presence of God filled the campus.
At the
evangelists’ meetings, the exposition of Psalm 91 was a great blessing and
encouragement to all the evangelists and trainees who gathered with much hunger.
Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh
Soon after the
meetings in Stuartpuram closed, the meetings in Vijayawada began with the
Sunday evening meeting in our open grounds and many heard the Word with rapt
attention. Day by day the crowd increased and the place was almost packed to the
full on the last day.
The Lord used
our brothers mightily and the Word went out with power. The testimonies of some of our
brothers who are standing up for the truth in various departments against
untruth and bribery were very challenging indeed. The Lord was glorified during the meetings as
many souls were touched and blessed.
Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh
The revival
meetings in Machilipatnam are a much awaited and longed-for event for the people here, as
they pray and prepare themselves with great expectation. The Word of God went forth with
power and the Lord used our brothers with heavenly unction and the people drank
in the Word with great hunger and thirst. Many non-Christians and others from all walks of life
from far and near heard the word of God with rapt attention. The prayer sessions were blessed and
owned of God as the Spirit of God moved upon the people and they cried to God
with tears of repentance.
The hall and
the galleries were filled to capacity and many had to be seated on the closed
street in front of the compound before a big screen. The challenging and practical witnesses of our
brothers were a great blessing. The Lord was glorified in these meetings. We pray that the Word of God will multiply and
impact the offices and the streets.
Other Meetings
It is the Lord’s mercy that several teams of our
brothers could conduct revival meetings in several of our centres in Andhra
Pradesh and Telangana. The Lord poured out His Spirit upon the crowds as many cried out to God
with tears during the prayer sessions. The Bible classes and the testimonies were an
added blessing to people. Many total strangers also attended the meetings. The loudspeakers carried the
messages to all those around our centres. Please pray that the Spirit of God may continue
to work in the hearts of all the people and that they will all turn
to the Lord.
In Tamil Nadu
Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Bro. Daniel and Bro. Joe had laboured in the city of
Coimbatore with great burden and the Lord touched and transformed the lives of
many and the work of God began to grow and spread to many areas in this
region.
Seeing the
great need of this city and the surrounding places, revival meetings were
arranged for this city in a rented hall. People from all over the district poured in and
the hall got filled up and overflowed right from the first meeting. God used brother John and
several brothers gave their testimony and took the Bible classes. Many stopped by the book table to
get themselves Bibles and good Christian literature during the book fair.
Other Meetings
Throughout the
year, teams of our brothers conducted revival meetings in several of our
centres in Tamil Nadu. People gathered with much hunger and received the Word with earnest
hearts. The halls overflowed with needy people and in many centres, they had to
be seated outside the hall. These meetings brought great encouragement and blessing to the people. We must pray much for a breakthrough
in all these places.
ANNUAL RETREAT
In so many
ways, one could see the faithfulness of God at the annual Retreat. Though the weather man predicted a
heat wave to hit the city during those days, the Lord, who provided the pillar
of cloud, gave us a cool and pleasant weather all through the Retreat which
amazed many. The temperature dropped around 10 °F. A total of 12,450 people registered and
attended the Retreat. Another 3000 joined us from the city.
As the prayer
hall with its many galleries got filled up right from the first meeting, the
overflow crowd had to be seated in the large temporary structure put up on the
left side of the prayer hall, with a large LED screen. One could feel the presence of God
pervading all over Beulah Gardens.
The soul-stirring messages of Bro. John, Bro. Joe and Sister Lily in the morning and evening
searched our hearts. The Lord used His servants mightily and the Word went forth with power. The prayer sessions after the main
message in the morning sessions were very hard to close as a mighty outpouring
of the Holy Spirit came upon the people.
In the
evenings, several prayer groups were praying all over Beulah Gardens. What was more amazing was the sight
of people praying in the open grounds even beyond midnight, pouring their
hearts before God as individuals and prayer groups.
The reports of
our brothers and sisters and their testimonies were very challenging as to what
God is doing. The Lord blessed the testimonies of our brothers from Africa whom
the Lord has touched and transformed and we pray that the blessing will spread
to the many countries of Africa.
We pray that
God’s word will be written on people’s hearts and that the Saviour is
glorified through each one’s life. Let us pray that the blessing of the Retreat will reach every corner of
the globe!
ON THE MEDICAL FRONT
The Lord has
been helping our team of medical doctors and nurses to conduct medical camps in
several remote places in and around Chennai. Hundreds of poor people get free medical help
and also the Gospel is given to them. Some of them share their problems with our team and seek prayer. Let us pray for God’s touch upon the body, soul and
spirit of these needy people, most of whom are from non-Christian backgrounds. In the marshy lands of Sundarbans,
West Bengal, our team from Kolkata conducts medical camps once every two weeks.
The Lord
granted a medical camp in the remote city of Churachandpur, Manipur, on April
8, as Dr. Jemima visited this place. Around 80 poor and needy people turned up for
medical consultation and treatment. Some came from the relief camps also and they all heard the gospel of
Jesus Christ. We need to pray much for the ministry in this place to grow and reach
and win many more people for Christ.
Our Gospel
clinics are serving the poor and needy people in various places. We praise God for the faithful
labours of our medical team in Anantnag, Kashmir and also for our clinic in Sonauli, Uttar Pradesh, on the Nepal border. Our clinics in Tamil Nadu in Coonoor, Velliankadu, Gummidipundi, Ashok Nagar and Triplicane
in Chennai and Jonnapadu, Andhra Pradesh continue to
serve the needy people. Most of the patients are from non-Christian backgrounds but they trust and value
the service of our doctors and nurses. Let us pray for God’s touch on their lives. The medical work in Masinagudi, in the mountains of Nilgiris, focuses on
serving the tribal people of that area.
Let us pray
that God may give us Gospel clinics all over India in every needy city and town
with people who have a testimony and want to reach souls.
ON THE LITERATURE FRONT
As the demand
for books keeps increasing, our press team was kept on their toes to produce
more and more books in various languages like English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada,
Malayalam, Hindi, Punjabi, Odia, Bengali, Konkani and Gujarati. We pray that the Lord will enable us
to increase the capacity of the press to meet the increasing demands and give
our team new grace to keep up with the increasing demands for good Christian
literature and Bibles. The spacious warehouse for books in Beulah Gardens is getting
filled with these beautiful books to be sent to many different bookstalls
around the world.
‘Pilgrim’s Progress’ and the life of C.T. Studd were printed in time for the Annual Retreat. Three Telugu books, two in Konkani
and two in Tamil and four books in Punjabi were printed and published. In Hindi and Malayalam also, one
book has been printed in each language. Six books had to be reprinted in English and
several Telugu books had to be reprinted to meet the demands at the special
meetings. Let us pray that many will be touched and pointed to Christ as they read
these inspiring lives of those who walked with God.
BOOK FAIRS
We praise God
for the team of our brothers who travel long distances all over India to
conduct book fairs in many cities and towns. In several places they put up a
temporary tent-like structure (gazebo tent) for the fairs and in some places, halls were hired. The local brothers and sisters are
always ready to step in and help in the loading and unloading of the trucks and
the set up of the book fairs.
A team of our
brothers travelled to Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Sikkim, Goa, Andhra
Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. In each place, the hunger and thirst of the people for good Christian
literature was quite evident as they kept visiting us throughout the day and
also invited others. Everywhere people were so happy to see such a large variety of
Christian books and Bibles. A lot of people from all kinds of religious backgrounds and many
local churches flocked in and made use of the opportunity to buy many books and
Bibles.
As many people
hear the word of God on the TV, their hearts are warmed when they realize that
the book fairs are part of the same ministry and their hearts open up
to receive God’s word in every place. Many are so happy to find such a huge
variety of Christian books and Bibles. Let us pray that we might be
the salt of the earth, as we labour for the Lord.
OUR SCHOOLS
Our schools
are run with the purpose of giving the Gospel to the students and imparting
Biblical values and priorities into the lives of the students and their
families. When our students have the fear of God implanted in their hearts and
lives, God will bless them greatly. The demand to get admittance into our schools keep increasing as
parents want to send their children to the Fellowship schools for the
environment of Christian discipline and diligence which is conducive to
learning.
Once again,
the Lord granted us to see good results in the Matriculation exams this year. We praise God for the hard work of
our dedicated staff and teachers.
RADIO & TELEVISION MINISTRY
We praise God
that our telecasts are sounding out God’s Word covering a greater part of the
subcontinent of India in 15 languages on 19 TV channels, and on four TV
channels in Nepal in the Nepali language. Our telecasts are reaching Bangladesh, Pakistan
and Myanmar (Burma) also. The feedback is always very encouraging.
Our telecasts
in the UK, Germany, Guyana, Jamaica and the satellite transmission
covering many parts of the world are well received with much hunger and
expectation. The television message is going out over the whole nation of Guyana and
also in neighbouring Suriname and Venezuela.
We praise God
that His word is going out via the TV and radio reaching the whole nation of
Guyana, South America and surrounding countries and many of the Caribbean
islands. Let us pray for the Spanish speaking country of Venezuela as the
word of God goes out on the TV and also via radio into the capital city of
Caracas.
The dear Lord
continues to add His blessing upon our radio broadcasts that go out over many
stations in America and Canada and 35 radio stations around Australia each week. Our radio broadcasts cover Papua New
Guinea and reach Southeast Asia too. Our TV and radio broadcasts go out into North-Western Africa. Please pray that the Spirit of God would awaken
many to their need of a Saviour.
In addition to
these radio broadcasts, the message of God’s love and power goes out via shortwave
covering the US, Europe, China, and Africa. Let us pray much for the unseen congregation
around the world who hear God’s word each week. We hear from strangers around the world
speaking of God’s touch in their lives.
promoted TO GLORY
The Lord called Sister Shanti Daniel
Home on October 29, 2024. Our sister served the Lord along with her husband Bro. Francis in Bangalore and led many
souls to the Lord and taught many to learn to live and serve the Lord rather
than live a selfish life, as many are serving the Lord in various places today
including Guyana, South America. They built the work of God on their knees and prayed much. People were taught to be on
time for the prayer meetings and the work of God is continuing to grow in this
big city. Let us pray for Brother Caleb and Monica Daniel as they continue
to labour for the Lord here and that many young people will fill the gap of our
Sister Shanti who learned to walk by faith and live with eternal values.
The Lord
called Dr. Jesudas Home on November 27, 2024. Dr. Jesu was touched of the Lord from Hinduism and
served the Lord faithfully in Coimbatore all his life. His testimony touched many
people in the whole region as he preached and lived God’s word. The whole medical community knew that our
brother could be trusted as he never ran after money but after souls.
Let us pray
for Sister Fuchsia Jesudas that the Lord will
strengthen her as she continues to labour for the Lord in this city. Let us pray that many young people
will rise up in our brother’s stead to serve the Lord faithfully in these regions and that the light
of God’s word will penetrate deep into the conscience of men
and will impact society.
Conclusion
As we recall
the faithfulness of our Lord, the inexhaustibility of the riches of His grace
and His tender mercies towards us, let us be ever grateful and faithful to the
Lord and grow in faith and sacrifice. Let us shed the old man of selfishness, smugness and worldliness and
lead a purposeful and fruitful life which will make a mark for eternity.
May the Lord
help us to reach and win many more people to the Lord who is coming back soon. May Jesus be lifted up above
the desolations of this world so that many will turn to the Saviour of the
world, the Lord Jesus!
