Proverbs 14:14
"The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself." The moment we backslide, the devil puts into us his own thoughts. The devil waits for the time of backsliding to mislead us with his thoughts. There was a man working with me. He was a backslider and I did not know it. He used to be full of suggestions about how our work should be done. I used to pray about his suggestions. Seeing Gods guidance being contrary to them, I used to drop them. After sometime he said that his stay with me was a drawback to the Fellowship and he went away. Later he ruined himself. It is dangerous to be with backsliders. Only in the company of children of God they have a chance of being corrected. They wont see their faults. They will see faults only in true children of God. "A good man will be satisfied from himself." You will be satisfied, when you are right with God. You will feel happy with the Word of God. You will be happy with the children of God. A heart set right according to the Word of God will be filled with supreme satisfactionand that is heaven. God out of love, made you for heaven. When you go to Him you are satisfied. In all people, even the worst of men there is longing for God, because we were made for God.
"Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding." If you seek Gods righteousness you will be the head and not the tail. Nations that will not serve God will perish. God always thinks and plans long ahead. He will give you a spirit of good-will for others. Heaven is that state when your conscience never pricks you because you are right with God. But you are thinking of just the next morrow and of yourself. "Will people praise me tomorrow?" is the question engaging your mind. But do you know God wants to make you an eternal excellency? "A good man will be satisfied from himself." This is the work of God. When your nature becomes the divine nature, what more would you want? Isaiah 61:4 & 6, "And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves." Do you know that God is preparing you to be light that will last for many generations? When you die, will anyone think of you as one who has turned the course of his life or the course of his familys life from darkness into light? You must first attain that state in which you are completely satisfied with your Lord. With you in Him and He in you Christ will guide you.
