Psalm 147:19

God's great word was first revealed to the family of Abraham. It is not easy for God to make men understand Himself. When God began to speak to people, He had to come down and express Himself in words that did not fully describe Him. First it is difficult for God to speak to sinful man. The mind of man is so sinful that it cannot understand God. When God says one thing, man understands it as another thing. God did not find it easy to reveal Himself to Moses. But He made known His ways to Moses. He showed His word to Jacob. God's wisdom is infinite. It was not intellectual understanding that was needed but spiritual absorption. God's Word is not absorbed by the human personality. But God must change human nature so as to make it receive God's Word. But when God speaks to us it is a great revelation. Deuteronomy 4:24,32 "For the lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God." "For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it." Isaiah 6:9,10 "And he said Go and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; see ye indeed but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat and make their ears heavy and shut their eyes lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart, and be converted and be healed." The capacity to hear God and understand His ways, man does not have. God's Word is life. His Word is spirit, His Word is creative power. Malachi 4:4 "Remember ye the law of Moses my servant which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments." Think of Moses ascending the hill of God to hear the word of God in prayer. 'His word runneth swiftly.' It is a powerful word. It is a word that lifts you to a new plane of life. It is a word that releases in you great powers.

The Word of God converts you. Any home where this Word dominates is a blessed home. You are blessed if you have such fellowship with God. If our Fellowship has failed to bring you into this fellowship with God, then it has truly failed. Spiritual radiation begins in you as this Word fills you. When we live close to God, our Master, obeying the Word, others will believe the Word. As the Word of God becomes a force in you, the flesh will be subdued. The world is full of the life of the flesh. But as the flesh is subdued. His judgments are revealed to us. They are not revealed to others. In spite of his failures, Jonah knew the judgments of God. As you obey, God's guidance comes easily to you. Your feelings will themselves be guidance when you fully obey the Word. Is the Word of God revealed to you everyday? Is this energizing power coming into you everyday? He is following you to reveal to you His wonderful Word.
