The Great Disciplinarian

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17)

This is divine truth. Its purifying capacity is very great. When you can spare time, spare it for the study of the Word of God. When you can spare time, spare it for prayer when the divine Spirit can work on your spirit. Let no man say when he is tempted, that he is tempted of God. Every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust. We are drawn away because our purification is slow - because we do not go to God as we ought. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life drag us out of God's presence and out of God's will. God's will and God's presence are both the same. When you are in God's will, you have God's presence. When you are in His will and you meet a temptation, it is nothing to you. You will conquer it. Outside God's will, if you meet a temptation, it will easily overcome you. The world has not yet seen the full grace that God can bestow upon a man or a group that does His will. Why did God create man? Is it to throw him into temptation? David was not in God's will when he ascended the roof of his house.

God is a great disciplinarian. If in an army which is meant to destroy another army, discipline is essential, how much more in an army which saves souls. Do not bury your valuable life in indiscipline. The more you obey, the more God will use you.
