The Impact of a Walk With God
"Thus saith the LORD of
hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of
all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is
a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with
you." (Zechariah 8:23)
Man cannot resist truth for a long time - truth
in life particularly. When a Christian
proves the truth in his life, his life becomes a loud-speaking Bible. People will say, 'Here is a man living the life
I have failed. Let me follow him.' As we live the life which is made possible
thorough the death and resurrection of Jesus, it will make people marvel. People cannot resist the force of your
life. 'We will go with you to Jerusalem', they will say. Jerusalem is the place of prayer.
It is the sanctuary. It is at the
place of prayer you can meet God. Have
you got a set time for prayer? Do you know that prayer will transform your life? "And the inhabitants of one city shall
go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek
the LORD of hosts: ..." (Zechariah 8:21).
Prayer is always a journey towards God.
For sick people it is like the journey made by the woman ailing for
twelve years, as she walked and elbowed her way through the crowd. Her walking was prayer, her elbowing her way
through the crowd was prayer, her touching Jesus was
prayer. In prayer you come into a
live-touch with God. You cannot find
anywhere else, the joy and the revelation that you have in prayer. Your life will become exemplary. When young people live the life of victory,
people will turn towards God. Do you
mean business in prayer? Do you seek God
in prayer? God will make us powerful
examples to others. Can one get his
youth back again when he can be an example?
Sermons may be forgotten, but the fact of a life cannot be forgotten.
