“Living A Victorious Life” LATE MR.N. DANIEL
John 14:12; 16:13
“I was good at
sports - I was never beaten. In moral and spiritual life I was completely
defeated.” said a Hindu classmate to me. A Hindu poet sings, “Oh! God why do you create us and leave us helpless in this world?"
But the Word of God speaks differently. "I will lead you into all
truth."
Isaiah 30:21
"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee,
saying, This Is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and
when ye turn to the left."
God has not left
us helpless. He is a dependable God. When I confessed my sins, I felt I was
restored to God. But In my thoughts I was not victorious. So I was not happy.
In actions I was different. So I prayed and God gave me His victory. People
called me a hypocrite. I said, "It is correct because the Bible is in my
hand and not in my heart." Later the Bible became real. I began to see
that the Word of God is true. It's being fulfilled in my life. I prayed for my
Head Master's dying wife and she was healed to live thirty years more. We do
not obey the Word of God. So nothing happens. Do you ever pray "Thou hast
promised clean eyes and a clean heart. Thou hast
promised all this in Ezekiel 36:25,26. I am not having
pure eyes and a clean heart. I must be like that.
Prov. 4:23; Jer. 17:9 Your long life depends on your clean heart. Evil thoughts
beat against the important parts of the body as the waves beat against the
shore. Your heart becomes weak because of evil thoughts. When I prayed
over others I knew God would not reject my prayers because I obeyed His laws.
Jesus is a
Living God. He chooses the best for you. He will guide you correctly. He will
never mislead you. My father sent me two handkerchiefs. One was of silk and
very attractive. The second was of cotton and very plain. I asked God to help
me choose the right one. He asked me to take the cotton one. I gave the silk
one to my friend. We both used the kerchiefs that Sunday at church. The silk
one was shop soiled and just came to shreds. The cotton one lasted long. God
chooses the best for us. What a joy to follow Christ! He took away evil
thoughts from my mind. I was safe. I was asked to teach for some time in a
girls' training school. Not one single wrong thought hit my mind.
No Idols came into
my heart. I have no love for money. I thank God for It.
I loved holiness in my life. I glorified God by my holiness. Be afraid of sin. Run away from it. Be clean, embrace righteousness. Let no harm come out of your life.
“I will lead you.”
“I will sprinkle clean water upon you.”
“I will give you
a clean head.”
These are the
wonderful promises of God.
