“Open
Thou Mine Eyes” LATE MR. N. DANIEL
Psalms 119:18 “Open
thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.”
What
wondrous things we can discover in the Bible! When we study the Word of God, it
first shows you that you are a sinner. This knowledge is great gain. If you do
not know that you are the one that is making mistakes in life, you blame this
man and that man. You blame your wife and children You
live in the kingdom of darkness. You are in the hands of the devil; the devil's
work is to destroy you. Many young men who were walking in the way of sin tried
to draw me into their path. It was not the way of God. So I did not follow
them. There is wealth in the Bible. Unless your sins are forgiven, you cannot see
that wealth. If you confess your sins, He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse
you. Many people say, “I am a sinner.” But they do not confess their sin and
set right their conscience. We have to confess our sins. It is not enough to
say that we are sinners. A woman came and washed the feet of Jesus. This way
she was confessing her sins. There was no need for further confession
because the whole town knew her sin.
The
Word of God uncovered my sin. I confessed. I got a clean conscience. Do you
have a promise from God? Were your eyes opened to see your sin? What is your
wealth? Have you got God's promises? The devil hath
blinded your eyes. Let God open them. Put away your sin. Then whatever goes out
of your house will be a blessing. There are wondrous things hid in God for you.
God taught me only one thing - to go alone and pray. "God's time must be
given to God -I must go and meet God." He used to teach me many things and
purify me. He used to help me discover my faults.
God
promised to make me pure and make me like Joseph. I did not want the wealth
that Joseph had. My Lord is richer than all people. I wanted Him.
When
I pray "Our Father" I really call Him as my Father. Gal 5:22,23 God gave me this! “But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance;
against such there is no law.”
Saul
became king. He saw only the kingdom. He wanted only that kingdom for his sons.
He did not long for God- to possess Him for himself and his sons. All his sons
died young.
Young
woman, your wealth is here in this Book. I received many promises in my college
days. They are fulfilled now. How many of us are beggars in the kingdom of God?
We ask for this and that earthly gift and do not ask for true riches - His
promises. A certain man with three MA. degrees and two Ph.D. degrees came to me as a beggar. He was
a minus quantity in faith. If you repent, there is wealth awaiting you. How
rich you are, if you know the Lord! Those who have Jesus will be truly wealthy.
Let us pray – “Open my eyes to see the wealth in the Bible.”
