True Sacrifice
"And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse
among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you,
and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong."
(Zechariah 8:13)
A Christian cannot help being a Christian. Put your heart in prayer. Seek the face of the Lord until you meet
Him. Daniel prayed till he met God. Perhaps the powers of darkness are delaying
your answers. An angel started to meet
Daniel when he humbled himself and commenced prayer. The delay in the answer does not mean that
your prayer is rejected. You are
fighting the powers of darkness. You
will triumph ultimately, because the powers of darkness are defeated.
"Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with
perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also
rejoiced with great joy" (I Chronicles 29:9). Your heart-prayer is a sacrifice. Your heart-humbling is a sacrifice. We should be a living sacrifice. As a young man, Isaac lay himself willingly
on the altar, almost equaling his father in faith. We shall willingly offer ourselves a living
sacrifice unto God. "And be not
conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of
God" (Romans 12:2). Every time you
pray and contact God, your mind is renewed and you are getting seasoned in
faith.
